We’re posting here a press release featured in Correo Cultural – an online publication promoting the arts in Latin America. The article includes a full list of the artists who exhibited at the VAS launch show last Thursday.
Show of Contemporary Latin American Art
A mutual alliance has been formed between VEARTE Foundation, under the direction of Laura León, and VISUAL ART SUR, run by Nora Ellis, two Venezuelan women concerned to promote Venezuelan artists. Together they have organized various art-related activities where Venezuelan artists will collaborate with private institutions in Greenwich, Conneticut.
On October 1st, artists Solange Salazar, Ángel Mieres and Margaret Salazar will give a workshop called “Embracing Art” in the Neighbors Link Stamford Immigrants Center (www.neighborslinkstamford.com), which will involve selecting a group of immigrant children and children from King Low Heywood school to work with the artists.
On Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th, the artists will carry out several workshops with young people at King Low Heywood school.
On Thursday 6th there will be an exhibition called Latintempo (VIP Open House), organized by VISUAL ART SUR and VEARTE Foundation, attended by the artists Arnaldo Morales and Bradley Castellanos, the artists Oswaldo Macia, a Colombian painter and Peruvian painter Alberto Boreal,
Exhibiting artists: Ángel Mieres, Margaret Salazar, Solange Salazar, Ellery Gutiérrez, José Campos Biscardi, Winibey López A, Onofre Frías, José Vivenes, Alberto Spinetti , María Gracia Monro, Enrico Armas, Eduardo Agelvis, Nela Ochoa, Roberto Notarfrancesco, and via VEARTE Foundation: Enrique Lobo, Antonio Evies, José Luis Aldana and Bruno García.
These activities are the product of a joint effort carried out by VEARTE Foundation and VISUAL ART SUR to open new horizons for Venezuelan artists and promote their talent in the USA.
